As their name suggests, lab-grade Golden Teachers mushrooms, and other types as well, are particular spores, usually stored in syringe spores or spore prints, grown in specialized laboratories. They are used for scientific research because the mushrooms they come from are illegal and cannot be sold or purchased. But spores can be studied legally, which is currently very important for research.
To obtain them, certain conditions must be met. The laboratory must be equipped with a sterile room where inoculation occurs. The lab is a sterile room with HEPA filters. Then there is the incubation room, which houses the sawdust bags and the spawn if that is the method of choice for growing mushrooms. The microscope media room is another essential part of the facility. There are also pasteurization rooms, cold rooms, shipping/receiving rooms, and production or collection rooms.
It is very convenient to have separate rooms for the inoculation and seeding stages of the growth process, to keep spores from contamination.
Lab-grade mushrooms of any type are your best bet for ensuring quality and consistency, given that laboratories are best equipped to provide a proper growing environment. Only in such an environment can spores be appropriately handled to avoid unwanted accidents that may lead to the failure of the entire process.
